Theme one: Natural Environment The area, function and value of the region's land, and aquatic natural assets are effectively identified and protected. Theme two: Infrastructure Effective provision, planning and investment for the current and future infrastructure needs of the region Theme three: Government Processes and Approvals Timely provision of government decision making, approvals and processes to meet community and industry needs in a cost effective and efficient manner. Theme three: Community The region's communities are vibrant, welcoming and actively supported by metropolitan level sporting, recreational and community facilities and activities. Theme four: Residential Development The region has a range of well planned urban and semi urban communities that reflect best practice design and offer a wide range of convenient, affordable and accessible residential opportunities. Theme five: Economic Development A strong, ecologically sustainable and diversified economy, building on new and existing regional competitive advantages. Theme six: Transport System A integrated transport system that promotes economic development, public transport use, tourism, walking and cycling and provides for the efficient, safe and effective movement across the region. Theme seven: Education Facilities The provision and access to quality public education facilities from child care through to university level including selective and special education services.
Theme eight: Health Facilities The provision and access to timely metropolitan standard health services including modern equipment and facilities including access to specialist and high care services
